Adrià FunosasArtilugis Studio | Where culinary design meets crafted soul, shaping objects that turn every table into a stage for storytelling.

Where Art Meets Function in the Heart of Hospitality

From his studio nestled in the creative fabric of Barcelona, designer Adrià Funosas is reimagining the intersection between craft and cuisine. As the founder of Artilugis, Adrià works at the crossroads of industrial design, gastronomy, and sensorial experience — crafting objects that spark emotion, elevate rituals, and honor material authenticity.

Every piece from Artilugis is born from a belief: that the table is not only a place of service — it is a stage of storytelling. Inspired by the tactile rhythms of ceramics, Adrià’s creations focus on the earthy depth of stoneware and the refined elegance of porcelain — materials that invite touch, hold warmth, and frame each dish as a quiet work of art.

A Studio Rooted in Gastronomy & Ritual

Trained in industrial design and product development, Adrià’s creative language has always been grounded in utility — but his heart beats for hospitality. Since founding Artilugis, he has designed a wide array of dining objects, from tasting utensils and mise en place tools to ceramic serveware and sensory accessories. Each item speaks with clarity, minimalism, and purpose.

What Sets Artilugis Apart

What truly sets Artilugis apart is its collaborative and concept-driven approach to stoneware and porcelain design. Founder Adrià Funosas partners closely with chefs, restaurateurs, and hospitality creatives to develop bespoke tableware that aligns seamlessly with the narrative, rhythm, and identity of the dining experience.

Rather than offering a fixed catalogue, Artilugis co-creates each collection based on the needs and personality of the client — from the weight of the plate in the hand to the way light dances across its glaze. Whether it’s a bold piece designed to elevate a signature dish or a minimalist line developed for a multi-course tasting menu, each item is crafted with intention, performance, and emotional resonance in mind.

Artilugis doesn’t follow trends — it translates stories into ceramic form.

From Studio to Service – Objects That Resonate

Signature materials include:

  • Stoneware and porcelain: shaped and finished by local artisans, each piece celebrating texture, weight, and form.

These elements come together in collections that are sensory, modular, and scalable — ideal for boutique hotels, tasting-menu restaurants, private dining rooms, and experience-driven events.

Each object is created with longevity in mind: made to age beautifully, remain durable in professional kitchens, and inspire chefs to explore new possibilities in presentation and service.

Design Philosophy

“Design is not a solution — it is a language of connection. The more honest the material, the deeper the experience.”
